Cabinet Popup Context Menu

Understanding the Cabinet popup context menu

With the Cabinet popup context menu you can perform the following tasks
  • 1) Select New Drawer when you want to add a new drawer to the selected cabinet.
  • 2) Select Rename to change the name of the selected cabinet. This function can also be accessed by double clicking the selected cabinet. To dynamically change the name of the cabinet from the cabinets property setting enter the following for the cabinet name field $CAB_PROP[Any Property Name]$DEFAULT[Any Default Name] The displayed cabinet name will lookup the defined property name within the brackets, Any Property Name in this example, within the defined cabinet property's attributes list and display the value assigned for that property element. The $DEFAULT variable is used to define the displayed cabinet name when the $CAB_PROP name attribute is not assigned, Any Default Name in this example.
  • 3) Select Remove when you want to remove/delete the selected cabinet. This function can also be accessed by hightlighting the cabinet and selected Control-D
  • 4) Select Position when you want to move/change the position of the cabinets within the open cabinet list.
  • 5) Select Paste Drawer when you want to paste a copied or cut drawer from another cabinet.
  • 6) Select Find when you want to search for folder items in every folder within every the selected cabinet.
  • 7) Select Create Copy when you want to create a copy of the selected cabinet.
  • 8) Select Close when you want to close the selected cabinet.
  • 9) Select Revert when you want replace the selected cabinet with another version, similar to undo and/or redo only you can select where in the modification history.
  • 10) Select Publish when you want to publish/share the selected cabinet to one of your defined Network Libraries.
  • 11) Select Refresh when you want to update the selected cabinet to the latest available version from its library location.
  • 12) Select Check Out when you want to obtain write access to the selected cabinet.
  • 13) Select Publish Update when you want to publish the Checked-Out cabinet. This feature is used to publish the latest checked out version to its residing Network Library.
  • 14) Select Check In when you no longer want to maintain write access to the selected cabinet.
  • 15) Select Publish Archive when you want to save/publish an archived version of the selected cabinet. The archived version will be a permanent time stamp of the last modified cabinet, and can no longer be edited.
  • 16) Select Advanced when you want to specify read/write access permissions. Warning! If you specify access settings to the Advanced Settings dialog that results in no access you will only be able to access the advanced settings dialog based on matching the specified settings. It is strongly recommended to test this functionality prior to its actual usage. * This feature is only visible on Professional or above versions.
  • 17) Select Icon when you want to specify the icon that will be displayed for the selected cabinet. To dynamically set the icon of the cabinet from a defined cabinets property setting enter the following for the cabinet icon's alternate location field $CAB_PROP[Any Icon Name]$DEFAULT[Any Default Icon] The displayed cabinet icon will lookup the defined property name within the brackets, Any Icon Name in this example, within the defined cabinet property's attributes list and display the icon for the value attribute assigned for that property element. The $DEFAULT variable is used to define the displayed cabinet icon when the $CAB_PROP name attribute is not assigned, Any Default Icon in this example. The resulting value could be an existing icon or could also be a path to an icon (e.g. C:\MyIcons\icon.png) or a URL (e.g. http://www.myicons.com/icon.png)
